Yeah Billy, its common for hitting coaches to teach their kids to hit one right back up the box, what if Jack Rye had done that and drilled Capra right in the head, would we be sueing 11 and Jack for the popknot on Andys head?

I'm not really debating the point with you, shockfan89....I knew many posts ago that it was a waste of my time.
I fully realize that you have taken of the Koolaid and believe what you believe......and true believers do not waiver in the face of fact, they just dig in.
The earth is only 4000 years old.....we are not related to chimps....

But seriously...if a hitting coach told their player to put one into the opponent's third base coach to "back him up"...and that coach was hit and seriously injured...I imagine there would be action. That would be as heinous as a pitching coach instructing his pitcher to back up an on deck batter by throwing near him.

Did you ever hear it reported that Gene spent a couple hours in the hospital with Molina and Brownlee after the game and both of them agreed it was a freak accident and their stories only changed after lawyers got involved? Probably didn't know that did you?
Sure Molina was visited, decency demands that...I expect nobody knows what was said in the room. I might mumble something too...until I read in the paper quotes from a pitching coach saying that it was his instructions that got Christensen into the mess. Until Christensen verifies it in a deposition.
No need to carry on...you will believe what you will believe...and I as well...neither of us will be swayed..

You are sure putting a lot of trust into a pieced together quote by a reporter. Sounds good to me. You believe what you want. Ignorance is bliss afterall.
Like I said, logic would dictate that if the pitching coach had been teaching that for 19 years this wouldn't have been an isolated incident. We all know by the facts that it was. Thanks for the attempt.

Do they suspend coaches for a pitcher hitting some one? Hell no they don't...only if the coach's action led to the incident.
Also it was a conference suspension not an NCAA suspension. I don't recall that anybody was ever suspended by the NCAA as a result of this.

You already have posted the legal document thatverifies Christensen's testimony that he was under instruction...

The conference over-reacted to an ugly media mess that followed. I have already told you WSU did themselves no favors by trying to "self discipline". It ended up looking like an admission of guilt. I will grant you that.
I find it more likely that the conference found solid reason to take such a dire action.
