The Noles have always had an issue with the fan count...

It is always low...Howser was packed and at capacity at the Super. You didn't see empty stands....

I saw.. lots of empty bleacher seats. And judging by the attendance figures reported by YOUR own athletic department, I'd say there were a lot of empties. Kinda sad.. :(

WSU is frequently top 10 also, which really is amazing, given we don't usually get a 3-game weekend series against a rival or ranked team.

Another excellent point ABC. We have the luxury of the Valley. FSU has the bad luck of being in the ACC.

Speaking of ACC in baseball, when was the last time an actual ACC team won the CWS? Surely, it hasn't been longer than a weak Valley team did it in 1989? (And no, Miami doesn't count. They were in the Big East when they did it).

Can't make it to Omaha...just bash the guys that do. It will make you feel better...maybe even a little bigger...

You know...I am not on here bashing WSU's program...we discuss park size, opponents, pitching vs hitting...yet a few posters feel obligated to denigrate the ACC or FSU on multiple posts...somehow, they feel defensive and that we are in some sort of posting match...just ain't so.

The games have been played for our teams for this year....it's over for this year. Maybe next year we'll play again.

Maybe.. maybe not. You could call it a slap in the face though to refer to a team that had more success in the sport than your school 'mid-tier'. I guess that's just a knock to your school though..

And, I wonder why you feel obligated to make yourself feel a teensy bit taller.

Hey..I'm proud of my school (and former employer....I recently retired from FSU)...and you should be proud of your school...as the Beach Boys once sang.

Shoot...I am proud of the boys for going to Omaha again...and yes, all Noles would like a NC just like all Shockers would like to get back to Rosenblatt.

But...I am calling it the way I see it...you appear to somehow feel diminished by FSU/ACC and I do find that to be sad.

WSU is mid tier. I don't mean that as a "slap in the face"...that's my opinion. So is FSU, in my opinion, as I have posted. FSU was just better than WSU this year when they met.

As I said, an upper mid tier team can get to Omaha every now and then. It's the big boys that you expect to see there more regularly...

Miami is a big boy...they won NC's in 1982, 1985, 1999, 2001...and have now gone to the NCAA Regionals for a record 37 times.

I have always believed that the Canes usually put up one of the better teams in the South.

As you stated, the season's over....and yet you're still here. And please don't deny that you've gotten your little digs in at our program here and there. Do you make it a habit of visiting others and insulting them in their own houses? If your feelings are getting hurt, well, you are not a prisoner here. I'm sure the B Section Online Board misses you by now. In fact, they're still crying over this year while we (from everything I've seen so far) would like to move on to the promise of next year. How can we miss you if you won't go away?

LOL...if there are "digs" it is in interpretation.

Example...you guys believe that WSU is above mid tier..I don't. But, I also base it on my perspective that FSU is also mid tier.


If I answer posts about FSU's "tiny" stadium and show (by comparing listed dimensions) that it is larger than Eck..that's just fact, not a dig.

Oh well...it would be a boring board indeed in the off season without a poltergeist...
