Considering their last two weekends of work, I really wouldn't be surprised if FSU finally breaks the streak.

Some team from the East Coast. I know that really narrows it down, but I don't think Fresno St. has a chance. It will be either Miami or FSU, and I'd rather it be Miami.

LSU gets my vote. They are confident and really rolling and may be due for a losses but if they can keep it rolling its gonna be hard to beat them. Its not easy to do what they did to Cal irvines pitching. I think they are as potent right now as the other "offensive" teams like FSU and Miami. Miami clearly is the best all around team when you factor in pitching defense and hitting. I just like the way LSU has been playing. Confiden, having fun, and really full of momentum. They believe and we all know that can carry them all the way if they can hang onto it.

FSU's pitching will prevent them from winning.

LSU, Miami, and North Carolina are mighty good. North Carolina has been right there the last couple years, and I think they'll finally win it all this year.

The underdogs have done well in recent years, but the strong teams are really strong. I don't think a 'dog can win it this year.

                    I dunno

North Carolina has good pitching and a good hitting at #1-9, no easy out....FSU played them four times (none in Tallahassee) and came away 2-2 (one game a 2-1 ten inning game). I saw them as a very similar ball club to the Noles with slightly better pitching

Miami, to my eyes is a better team than NC or FSU. If their two best pitchers are "on" they are tough to beat. They have much, much more base path speed than FSU and it takes a cannon armed catcher like Buster to keep them honest. They play power ball and can also play small ball.

LSU has the bombers...the big sticks seem to come out in runs...than go quiet. If LSU isn't contained by pitching, they can go deep into the series. But they can't afford to go "quiet" against a team that puts up 11 or more runs.

Stanford, on paper, doesn't look as good as the ACC trio. I have not watched them play other than the one super regional on TV. They do bunt a lot, play advance the runner and sem to be a strategic rather than a power hitting team. I don't see the Cardinal going all the way.

ESPN is a joke...not even broadcasting the CWS in high def.

I cannot believe that in the first inning of the FSU/Stanford game, the FSU baserunner didn't stop midway between 2nd and 3rd to kindly wait for the 3rd baseman to safely catch the ball and position himself before he slid into third. He was out even though he didn't wait.

As long as you don't "interfere" with the fielder's play...you do not stop and wait until the guy catches the ball....you can run in front of him..as long as you don't kick the ball.
