And yet nobody here really cares about it. I think most of us found it odd and are glad we don't have it here. Then it was forced down our throat at least once an inning by ESPN. That probably makes it even worse to those who don't like it to begin with.

I'd take our nearly 10,000 person crowds anyday over what they have in Tallahassee. I think this has just turned into a whine and moan fest more than anything.

Average WSU home game attendance in 2006 and 2007 is listed as fewer than FSU...and we don't put anywhere near 10,000 in the stands...

I think hyperbole is a wonderful thing...but it did make me check the reported data.

WSU can put something around 8000 in at Eck. Our attendence numbers suffer because of the number of games played in near freezing temps. During warm weather WSU can put as much or more fans in a stadium than most any other teams. FSU obviously is one of them based on the Super Regional turnout.

Super Regional attendance WSU 2007: 8,153 and 8,153, unfortunately, only 2 games. Or in terms of capacity: 100% and 100%

Super Regional attendance FSU 2008: 4500, 4700, 5000. Is that capacity, or just a bad fanbase? If the numbers are right on the FSU sight, The Dick has a 6,700 fan capacity. or, 67%, 70% and 75%.

It is obvious that weather plays a factor in the annual attendance for the shockers, AND remember, WSU is not bringing in multiple "top tier" teams during the iniconference part of the schedule :)

To imply the the level of support, via attendance figures, at FSU is anywhere near the support WSU receives, is LUDICROUS!

And matt, that is sad to see they couldn't even get their stadium 3/4 full with a CWS berth on the line. What more do ya freakin' want?

The Noles have always had an issue with the fan count...

It is always low...Howser was packed and at capacity at the Super. You didn't see empty stands....

Are there any other attendees that can confirm this? If so, FSU will soon be looking for a new ticket taker, ticket counter and SID in charge of publicity :)

I was there...didn't really look for fans when I watched it off the HD.

But.all in all..FSU is in the Top 10 in fan attendance...so shots go wide there.

WSU is lower...but you have reasonable excuses.

WSU is frequently top 10 also, which really is amazing, given we don't usually get a 3-game weekend series against a rival or ranked team.

We did have a 3-game set again USC on three beautiful games in May recently.
