The point I'm trying to make is both Florida State & Wichita State have a rich history in college baseball. Both are not mid tier programs. You can not ignore what Gene has done for the Wichita State program, building it up from scratch. Not to mention doing this in Kansas, which is not prime recruiting ground like California, Texas or Florida. While we have a college world series appearance drought, this appears (hopefully) to be coming to an end. As you can see, when we do make it to Omaha, we plan on staying around for a little while (generally). Also, for back to back seasons now we have made super regionals and only needed one more win this year to advance to Omaha. It wasn't meant to be this year I guess or last year with Irvine coming back to win in the 9th, but our time is coming and just maybe we will get to host Florida State at Eck :D .
