Let's see, I could be invited to attend the dance 20 times, but not asked to dance once after I get there? Nah, I'll go 7 times and dance once. There'll be other dances.....and I'm just getting better and better. lol.

Seriously, anyone who would choose 0-20 over 1-7 needs to have their head examined! I don't think anyone here would....

        Well...

I can understand some of the Delmonico comments as some FSU fans gave the impression he was some kind of Eric Wedge type player.

I can understand some of the ..How does it feel to play in a real park. (we played in their park also).

I can understand people not wanting to see them win.

        But...

Why do some of decide to turn into what we despise? A bunch of piss and vinegar whinny ass fans that maybe should act like we will be deserving in the future. I mean ....I guess its all good but I wouldnt be here if this was a warchant type board for the most part.
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

Serious question: would you rather be 0 for 20 or 1 for 7?

I would probably lean towards the 1 for 7 since winning it is so sweet, but having been in the thing 20 times is pretty freaking impressive.
I'm guessing you were a Buffalo Bills fan back in the day?

            FSU

Well, Florida State isn't out yet, so those of us rooting against them should wait to count our chickens.

I haven't watched any of the CWS and don't plan to; I wouldn't even know the scores if they weren't in the paper. Any positive interest I had in college baseball ended with the last out in Tallahassee, because I don't enjoy the game enough on its own merit to follow it when the Shocks aren't involved. There are just too many defects: aluminum bats, not enough pitching and too much abuse of the good ones, goofy tactics, NCAA stupidity, etc.

I have no reluctance to do some negative rooting, though, despite the tiresome preaching and "keeping it real" from KC. This year I'm rooting aginst FSU because Martin is petty and obnoxious and richly deserves his long run of failures in Omaha; and against Rice because of Wayne Graham and his history of pitcher abuse, which he can casually employ because Texas in general and Houston in particular turn out so much talent that he can afford to burn some off and still have enough left to be a contender. WSU can't afford that; for the Shocks, losing one key guy like Uhlmansiek in 2004, or Kris Johnson in 2005 and having him never fully regain his effectiveness the following year -- or even Christensen when he flamed out in 1999, although that was more a serious brain cramp than a physical problem -- usually means canceling the reservations for Omaha, whereas with Rice it just means plugging in a different flamethrower. So I have little use for them, unless they're playing Texas, in which case I have to tolerate them because my second favorite team behind WSU has always been UWPT (the University of Whoever's Playing Texas).

So, go Seminoles and go Owls -- right down the drain, that is. Lose, team, lose! Preferably big, like you have so far.

This FSU - Miami game has been pretty good to watch.

Posey up, 2 outs in the 9th with FSU down 7-5. Runners on 1st and 3rd.

FSU's coach left Morris (Miami coach) high & dry during the hand shake at the end of the game. Morris was waiting behind home plate and Frank Martin was waiting for his team in the FSU dugout.

Also, FSU ties a record in the CWS for leaving the most runners stranded.

Mike Martin the great story for ESPN during the super regional what a great human being and coach yada yada yada. Well he just showed what a class act he is didnt even go out to shake hands with the Miami coach. What a Tu*d . Glad to see the love fest over for F.S.U. Would love to see Fresno State pull an upset and win it all.

                        Martin has no class whatsoever.

How many errors did FSU's shortstop make today? And did there center fielder kick anyone?
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

I suspect there is much more to Martin not going out to shake hands than losing today.

I'm not saying Martin is a class coach, but it's a rivalry and I doubt very few, if any, of us have all the background necessary to make that judgement.
