Au contraire, K.C. Shox, we have every right to "diss" and yes, even take some delight in knowing that FSU had their ***** handed to them, even if it's just for this one game so far. There were FSU fans who posted here during the Supers, many of whom appeared at first to be class acts, but some later revealed their true selves. Yes, I suppose we SHOULD take the high road, but seeing them turn so quickly on Delmonico (their motivational poster boy in our series) and other factors mentioned in the above posts, makes this response so much more FUN. Yeah, maybe they'll come back and win the next two, but I don't care...I like to live in the moment. :yahoo:

FSU = 2 and Q. Miami will eliminate them, and they'll be going back with their tails inbetween their legs, followed by their "classy" coach Mike Martin. Sweet justice indeed

FSU fans over here have been ok, but a lot of em are kinda dicky. So I didn't mind seeing the 16-5 drubfest on tv yesterday. Kinda funny.

You guys are right. That's what happens when you play baseball at a real stadium, without softball dimensions.

FSU's pitching is seriously a joke. We should be ashamed of ourselves for not putting up more runs. It's a modern day miracle they made it this far.

Oh and another thing.. FSU is 0-19 in the CWS. 0 and freakin' 19? That's flat out embarrassing.

Florida State will never be known as a 'juggernaut' in the college baseball world with a record as embarrassing as that. Making it this year is just making the good ol' Noles record look that more funny. Seriously though.. 0-19? LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

"Maize product Brent Milleville hit a three run homer that highlighted Stanford's biggest inning of the year and the biggest in a CWS game since 1994.

"That's one of those things that happen. You don't know why it happens," Marquess said.

200 players at the CWS. One from Wichita. Who comes to the plate in the 9th? The kid from Wichita. Who hits a towering fatal blow homerun? The kid from Wichita. This is fate. This is why, Coach Martin, you don't "rub it in" in the 9th inning.

Baseball gods, coach. Baseball gods. And it's hilarious.

We have no room dissing or laughing at FSU today. They smoked us at their place, they have scoreboard and they are in the CWS - a place we can only dream about and have been dreaming for since '96.
I will second that STFU request.

Let's hope that they are gone in two.

            That would be great.

The Noles looked around going into the 8th and realized they were tied...had to blow the 9th inning big time in order to extend the streak.

Six straight elimination games won by the Noles...the seventh straight elimination game won would be a record.

I am sure the boys looked around and said..."Hey, man, we got to figure a way to lose this one or the streak is dead."

And Miami? I have watched Miami for years and never seen such an inept 9th inning...of course, we Nole fans know what's up. Miami looked around and said.."Hey. if we win this game, we won't be the team to kill the Nole streak and have bragging rights for years. How can we blow this thing? "

Sigh! Another match between the Noles and their fiercest baseball rival to see who gets to send the other one home. Matches like these are made in baseball heaven.

Oh well...while the baseball loss was taking place the Seminoles won their third in a row NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship...

              Now...to the grudge match...

Serious question: would you rather be 0 for 20 or 1 for 7?

I would probably lean towards the 1 for 7 since winning it is so sweet, but having been in the thing 20 times is pretty freaking impressive.

I'd take the 1 out of 7 for sure.

I'd rather be 1-7 than 0-20 as well but consider this. Maybe FSU "deserves" to win a national championship. Maybe we should be pulling for them. After all, aren't football schools supposed to win anything and everything? Aren't BCS schools the superior race?

Maybe they do deserve to win. Why should a BCS football school and its classy, classy fans be allowed to suffer with such consistent failure?

You all sound like a bunch of sore losers. When it's all said and done, they have scoreboard and you all are acting like a bunch of haters. It is just silly reading comments from fans of a team that got their *** handed to them by the team they are dissing.

I disagree KC...I couldn't help but "LOL" everytime a run scored for Stanford in the 9th.

KC, considering the extracurricular activities that transpired in that series, you don't honestly believe that if WSU would have finished off FSU, that they would be pulling for WSU? Do you?

I think you can multiply the trash on their board towards WSU by 1000 and be close to the amount we would be seeing right now.

You know their classy, classy fans would have turned on us like rabid pit bulls had we dared to beat them at home to advance to the BCS CWS.

Chances that Holt kicks someone on Monday? I think pretty good. NO CLASS.

ESPN coverage gave them fits; cameras continually zoomed in on the mother of a Stanford player; the announcers consistently heaped praise on the Cardinals; the organist played an "annoying" sort of Gator music; very few of their team played up to their previous standards. These are just a few of the complaints now dominating the FSU fan boards, so YES, I find some poetic justice knowing that the 'Noles can now answer this question..."How's it feel?" It's not so much sour grapes, at least on my part. I had planned to root for them to go all the way, until I saw what "sore" winners they were when they kept coming in here, rubbing it in. I agree....NO CLASS.
