I thought the FSU fans here were great - even after the first game.

I had no problems with The Animals. I thought it added some fan interest and viewer interest - even if the chants or songs had no apparent bearing on the game situation.

I had no problem losing th FSU. It was a clear demonstration of the better team.

But...BUT...WTH is a FSU poster doing coming to our board after FSU beats us and bringing up the worst moment in the history of WSU baseball?

Ben Christiansen got hurt in the minors and went from first-round pick to out of the game in about 3 years. Is that enough karma and enough payback for what he did?

WSU has probably never recovered (from a recruiting standpoint) from "the incident". It was long ago. We've paid our debt.

May as well come out here and ask what happened to our football program and go on to ask if we couldn't afford the cost of the charter flights.

"The incident" has been through the court system and the courts found WSU and WSU's coaching staff had absolutely no involvement or responsibility for "the incident" - and that was in a civil suit where the standard is "a preponderance" of the evidence as opposed to "reasonable doubt". Even by the looser civil court standards, WSU and the coaching staff were exonerated.

Nice response from an FSU fan after kicking our butts.

I'm not going to make excuses for playing FSU in Tallahassee when it was 100 degrees with unbelievable humidity. Schedule a home-and-home with us and come up here in March or early April.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I agree with Aargh and I'm counting on Karma to show "sore" winners the error of their ways.

Yeah, 1245 - I'll never forget that shot. I think the guard's name was Prickett or something like that. Off balance with Jamar all over him and way behind the 3 line - I couldn't believe it went in. Loudest crowd I've heard at the Chuck.

          Since you asked.

I never heard of this board until the series with you was set. I then came here and saw some posts about 'the incident' complete with the 'timing the swing' excuse. This was just last week.I was listing a bunch of stuff I had seen here, saw I referenced that too. I would not have even remembered that was a WSU player who was involved.

Probably makes little difference, but that it the only reason I brought it up.

About the only thing I take away from most of these post games threads is that where you stand is usually determined by where you sit. I'm sure most of us would see things as you guys do if we were in your shoes, and vis versa.

tallynole: And hopefully we all expect college sports teams to be good representatives of their universities and cities.
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

The reason it was rehashed here is that it was brought up on the Rival's FSU board, on a thread there numerous of your fellow FSU fans expressed in no uncertain terms that WSU was a dirty program and that if they had been a relative of Molina they would have tried to hurt or kill Christiansen.
