We lose a guy who has started every game this year, who takes a first hit (of two hits) on the third pitch of the first game (resulting in stitches), and yet several of you play the victim. Some here justify a hit by pitch on a guy in the on deck circle with some phantom rule of baseball, and yet I just sat in the stands and watched dozens of your players "time their swings" in the on deck circle. You say we somehow slighted you with a late inning steal. I have sat in Howser and seen us come back from a 10-1 deficit in the 9th against a #1 ranked Miami team, and some of you guys want us to lay down for you ? Complaining about our attendance. Questioning why we do "football cheers" (whatever that is). If you guys listened to Gene after the game, you heard we he had to say about our atmosphere.

I know you'll lay into me, and I know this is a whiney post right after a tough loss. But I have never seen fans show some of the sensitivities you guys did. And I know it's just a few guys.

Having said that, I think you guys are unparralled fans and have always respected your program. I would love to play a home and home with you, and I know we owe you one. Good luck to you guys, even if some of you seem to have lost respect for our program. :wsu_posters:
Don't know about much of what you said. Except I say unless the team agrees to quit playing then stealing a base with any lead is ok with me. Infact encouraged.........I've never understood that unwritten rule.

ON YOUR SHORTSTOP.................BLAME YOU SECOND BASEMEN FOR LEADING HIM INTO THE RUNNER 3 FT IN FRONT OF THE BAG WITH A TERRIBLE THROW.

Your radio guy saying Jones deserved what he got in game two is retarded. It's ignorant and you should be ashamed. Jones was just starting his slide. AGAIN BLAME THAT PIECE OF CRAP THROW BY THE SECOND BASEMEN.

Other than that you guys have an awesome offense and good luck in Omaha.

      I agree completely.

Wow, their radio guy really said that? That speaks volumes.

I've never liked FSU. Nothing this weekend changes that. Sure, most of thier fans have been fine here, but as I've posted elsewhere, the school has fallen in my books. Probably below Miami

MK was talking about it in the pregame. He said he talked to lots of fans that listened to the FSU radio guys yesterday, because MK could't find an FM channel to broadcast on in the stadium. Apparently many Shocker fans heard the guys say it. If that is indeed the case, he needs to be severely reprimanded by his station or by the school. That is piss poor sportsmanship and should never be allowed during an on-air broadcast.

Nothing football about those cheers. Purely softball.

Good luck in Omaha. Maybe you'll do something this year.

                Congrats on the win.
That is such a ridiculous post. If it's against anyone else but your Shockers I'm sure you'd feel differently. Ask anyone in the nation outside of FSU's rivals and they would kill to have support and cheers like that to keep fans in the game.

If the Animals cheered like that for WSU you'd get goosebumps.

The first slide was fine and, frankly, Delmonico shouldn't even have still been in the game for the second slide. Why risk him to possible irreversible damage? At that point, a fourth grade girl could have slid in to him and hurt him. One of our radio guys called the FSU fans "idiots" and "ignorant" when they kept booing Jonesy. Only in this case, he was correct. As for the cheering animals, if we had played like we did Friday, we would have been blessed again with the sound of silence. That is the only way to shut them up. And good luck in Omaha, 'Noles. I'd much rather lose to the eventual winner.

The series was just fine on both sides. Both teams played hard. Fans cheered.

And the Seminoles kicked our butts.

I'm not going to call out the cheering of the FSU crowd. If they like to sing the same things every game and do what they do so be it. It's not my cup of tea and does remind me of girls softball though. I've even seen some girls basketball in MAYB over the years that are almost constantly singing something. Thank God I don't see it much though. It's thier tradition and I'm fine with that. I just hope it never catches on at WSU.

While I appreciate the kind comments of 'Noles fans on here, I would point out that it's easy to be gracious when you win. It is awfully close to sounding facetious, though. Perhaps a quick handshake would do and let us lick our wounds in private. Hmmmm?

I thought the Noles fans were great. College baseball needs that. Nice job FSU and dang you boys can hit. :-)

I love all the cheers and songs that the Animals do. Watching Mongo, and the guy that is the apprentice Mongo, is awesome. I love seeing an enthusiastic college baseball crowd. We have a lot of enthusiasm at Arkansas but it's not as well organized. When fans start something like the Animals have built at FSU it's just beautiful. You don't see that in professional sports and that's what I love about college sports.

Being a FSU baseball fan must be awesome. I mean don't get me wrong I love the Hogs. But FSU has all these great players to watch, great weather for every game, in the post-season every year. Plus a great atmosphere.
