Well, KC's going to be KC, so of course he's expecting the worst and convincing himself that he's "keeping it real."
Meanwhile, before anyone else runs up the white flag, let's keep in mind that Florida State is the same program that has a long history of underachievement in the baseball tournament (vs. their rankings and expectations), and the same team that was shut out on six hits last weekend by a guy from Bucknell who finished his year with a 3.67 ERA and a .286 opponents' BA. They aren't unstoppable.

The main thing is that they are the best hitting team in baseball, and yet were not the overall number 1 seed. Why, that is because they also give up some runs. We have good pitchers who hopefully can constrain their offense more than most, and an offense that is hot right now. Sure it will be tough, but that is pretty much the premise of a super regional.

Nothing like pointing out FSU's post season success, or lack thereof, when we haven't been to the CWS in 12 years and gave away regionals in '99, '04 and '06. Yeah, WSU is the poster child of NCAA post season success.
My bad for simply eluding to FSU's .355 team batting average. My gosh that is crazy good. My bad for saying that in my opinion, their offense is better than ours. Oh and, FSU got shut out for the first time all season in a regional game. We got shut out three times in the regular season against pitchers worse than Bucknell's. Gimme a break.
But you are right, that is why they play the game. I'm thinking we can limit this team who scored 74 runs in 5 regional games to 1 run per game. We are going to go 2-0 and moving on!

Man.. we get back to the Supers. This is the time where we need to drop all the constant negativity.
I honestly didn't expect us to make it this far and with the relative ease we did it (3-0 in Stillwater).. so everything from here on out should be gravy.
Get excited for once. You're acting all disappointed that ho hum, just another Super, when before last year, we had never advanced to one.
Just chill on the negativity. I was with you on the realism stuff through about last night. Then realism changed to pure joy.
I honestly think you expect National Championship out of this team every year, judging by the reaction of everything they do. Get to a superregional, and you're expecting the worst. If you wanna be doom and gloom about it, go for it, but you're missing out on a great opportunity to enjoy where we are again.
BTW.. FSU hasn't been to Omaha since 2000 and also has blown some regionals/superregionals.. and they've done it as national seeds and being at home. So I dunno how they get a free pass from you and we do not.. I think they've underachieved more than anybody over the last 8 years..
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Nice to see you on the right side of the bed this morning fever. Glad to see you coming around and joining the rest of us and enjoying things for a change. Welcome aboard. KC there is always more room for you if you wish to come aboard...
Well I hope Fever hasn't jumped on too late. I, amongst many, have said it before and it always bears repeating.
Enjoy the moment. You don't know if or when it will be repeated. I, for one, was not only exhausted this last weekend and had tons of work piled on my desk, but I spent most of Sunday evening heaving outside Allie P Reynolds. While I didn't get to enjoy every moment of the game, EMS couldn't have dragged my lifeless body away if they wanted to.........win or lose these times are special. Enjoy 'em.
I met him at Tulane's season opener and very solemnly asked him that question. He laughed and admitted that his name comes from the character from "Hoosiers." :D
