I'm afraid that in order go keep any hopes alive of hosting a regional, we MUST win our next 3 games in Omaha, tomorrows double against Creighton and at Nebraska on Tuesday. It's gonna take a heck of a lot better performance than the "team" showed tonight

shocks02, you would think, but if you take into effect our strength of schedule, which absolutely sucks, and the fact that we've lost all our games to the only good teams we've played (Creighton, LBSU), I'm not sure I'd want us to host a regional. We have to prove that we can compete against the top teams in the valley AND the top teams nationally. The Shox haven't proven they can do either one yet this year. And they have a lot of tests coming up midweek

Those games against Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, Kansas St., and Arizona St. are really, really big now. Unfortunately the valley strength of schedule isn't a major RPI boost for us. Hopefully the Shox can put this one behind them and act like the #5 team in the nation tomorrow. They way they looked tonight, you couldn't convince me they were the #5 team in the valley tonight. Definitely gotta pick it up.

We are actually 23-5, those two wins over non D1 teams don't count. Losing to a team which is not good, does hurt us especially by a team with a 100+ RPI.
We need to win both games tomorrow and shut up Creighton. Gosh I can't stand watching those guys over react.

The Royals won 2 out of 3 from the Yankees. Does anybody really think KC is better than New York over the long haul? It's baseball and you can't compare it to any other sport. Calm down-if we lose ten of our next twelve, then start griping.
Shockfan89 is spot on.Because Denny Crane says so Dammit!

Shox just need to regroup and come out focused tomorrow and take 2.

It never fails, WSU always struggles against the off-speed junk ballers.
Objective criticism of the team is fine, but this particular point is unfortunately propagated by citing a small handful of anecdotal examples over the years and the facts of WSU's performances in many, many games prove the exact opposite to be true.

College baseball isn't defined by one game in a season, it's defined by a body of work. While we looked bad tonight, we aren't the #5 team in the Valley.
So please save it.
Can you post just once after a win, instead of after everytime we choke it up?Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Oh and by the way, that was a very weak effort.
Rob's walks really cost us.
Our relief pitching still sucks.
Dusty Coleman had another error and whiffed at key times in the game.
Please, no one brag about our fielding percentage again for a while.
No ifs, ands, or buts: We MUST take these last two games in the series.
FYI, Nebraska has now lost two in a row to Oklahoma State, including a 19-2 spanking by the Pokes tonight.Deuces Valley.
