Bears advance to the Super Regionals against TCU. It was almost an all Valley Super Regional though as DBU lost in the championship game against TCU. Go Bears I guess. It's hard to care though. The pain of sucking has long since subsided and I am basically numb to it.

I'm not numb to it. I've coped by ignoring the program and burying my head in the sand pretending it hasn't happened. It's really hard to do this time of year though. My first thought when reading the title to that article was, "we beat the cowboys in a regional in Stillwater once.....a long long time ago."

I'm as quick as anyone to make fun of the Hillbillies, but give 'em credit where it's due, especially for winning at Arkansas. WSU has had better teams than this one from MoSt -- one in particular from 2004 that comes to mind -- that have failed to get the job done in Fayetteville.

Arkansas flamed out again. Maybe they need a hot-shot recruiting assistant with head coaching experience.

What happened to Katzfey halfway through they year to halt playing time? Thought he was a better "option" throughout the year. In all offensive aspects hitting for OF sucked all year. Defense as awhile was solid

He had some back issues I believe that put him on the shelf for a bit. Once he recovered (and maybe he never did fully recover??????) he had a hard time getting much playing time.

All four of Missouri State's games (1 against Okie State and 3 agaisnt Arkansas) were decided by 1 run with the Bears beating Okie State and taking 2 of 3 from Arkansas. To me that is a sign of a good team especially with 3 of those games on the Razorback's home field presumably with strong fan support.

I thought both Missouri State and Dallas Baptist represented the Valley well in regional play. DBU lost to TCU in the championship game of the TCU Regional and the Bears won the Arkansas Regional which is not easy.

The Bears have lost their first game in the supers by one run at TCU. I wish I were watching the Shockers right now, but those days seem long ago.
