It looks like you guys are pulling last year's numbers for Sanburn. He's had a bit of a rough start to the summer this year, giving up 17 hits, 4 HRs, and 4 walks in 10 1/3 innings through 3 starts for an 8.71 ERA.

But I thought we had a bunch of great young hitters?

Conor made Sports Center last night.

He smacked in the winning run.

A nice clip, despite the 30 second commercial wait.

I have a friend telling me Dayton quit and came back home due to a lack of playing time. Scratch him off the list.

We used to have a good percentage of Shocker players in either the Jayhawk League or the Walter Johnson League (or the Kansas Collegiate League Baseball as it's known now). Now, maybe 3 or 4. I think scouts barely even attend the tournament anymore, and you used to be able to find the front row filled with them for an 8 am weekday game. This isn't just a rant about how WSU doesn't support NBC teams, but how the NBC doesn't get supported in general. I really, really hate the Cape Cod and the Northwoods League and all the other leagues for taking all the good talent for summer ball.
You may want to check this list before you bash it too much.

Also Paul Suellentrop reported that in his previous outing Connor had a very similar line. 8 innings, 4 hits, 7 SO, 1 BB 1 ER. However, that game went into extra innings and was suspended in the 12th inning when the automatic sprinkling system went off and made the field unplayable. The stats from that game are not reflected in the season stats at this point and it is clear if that game will be completed. I think that is called a Bull Durham rain out.

In any case, Conner is finding the Alsaskan summer to his liking.
