It all starts with recruiting. Get over this mindset that if you aren't 6'1" or taller, you can't play. Get back to recruiting kids that are athletes, and have a desire to attend WSU. Most of these student-athletes were not even alive the last time we went to Omaha, and those numbers on the facade at Eck look awesome, but aren't relevant to today's players. You hear so much about the race to commit early, and to make sure you Instagram, or tweet the decision to Perfect Game or PBR can put that school commit next to your profile for the world to see...in some instances before they even play a HS game.
I love the freshman class this year. So much upside going forward with them. I just feel like maybe the coaching staff is so intent on looking for these guys that look awesome in a uniform getting off the bus that they overlook the kids that eat breathe and sleep WSU baseball and would walk through glass to have an opportunity to play on that field. Now, where are they????

Our idiot interim AD already said HCTB will be back next year. Can we fire him too?
Interim athletic director Darron Boatright backed Butler, who has four years remaining on a guaranteed contract, earlier this week, saying that Butler has his full support.

Kemnitz is no longer recruiting coordinator and Butler will take over scheduling duties for next season. At least twice this season, Kemnitz missed games while on a recruiting trip, something unprecedented in his previous 37 seasons.
Even his Saturday postgame radio show, a staple for many years with radio voice Mike Kennedy, ended this season.

On the today's audio broadcast Shane Dennis made the comment either late in the game or in the post-game that HCTB was a control freak. He kind of softened that by adding like all coaches but I am not exactly sure what he was trying to convey but I am not sure it was meant as a complement.
However, that does seem to tie in with Suellentrop's reporting that Brent's role has diminished over the past 3 years.
