John Hayes with a very good inning. Shocks need to figure out a way to squeeze a run home.

Yip, he at least gave WSU a chance when it looked like they were going to get blown out.

Tied 5-5 to the bottom of the 9th. Fun game, credit to WSU for battling back.

Great AB's by Ritter and Jenista. SIU luck as hell to not be behind by multiple runs.

John Hayes ultimately does his thang.

                              Shame it ended that way.

The lofty goal of a 3 game win streak remains elusive.

The race for most disappointing senior season in Shocker history continues between John Hayes and Ryan Tinkham. Ryan did get a hit in the 9th that lead to the Shockers tying the game (although that was kind of gift from the SIU leftfielder).

Personally I thought Butler should have pulled Hayes after he walked Mucha who wanted to sacrifice.

Now the Shocks get to face SIU's best pitcher tomorrow.

The highlight today was obviously Codi Heuer's performance and one silver lining is that John Hayes will not be available tomorrow.
