Good guys get a pair back in the bottom half, back to a three run lead at 5-2. Shox still batting.

Shocks continue to compete and execute. In the home half of the 4th Trey Vickers lead off the inning with a walk. Dayton Dugas after showing bunt on the 1st 3 pitches he saw roped a 2-1 pitch into the left field corner to put runners at 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Mucha after falling behind 0-2 in the count managed to put the ball in play with a ground ball to the 1B that scored Vickers and moved Dugas to 3rd. Tinkhma did fail to produce as he struck out but Troutwine picked him up with an RBI single to left center.

Shocks lead 5-2 after 4 complete. Still a long ways to go.

I'm tellin ya, this could be a very good offensive team, they just got to get the bat off their shoulders. We are seeing that today. Swing the bat, things happen. Let's hope Tyler can give the Shox 2-3 more solid innings and the offense can keep putting the ball in play.

Call me crazy, but I really think this team is improving. Are they an NCAA Tournament team? Not yet, but with all the underclassmen on the roster, I think they could be back in the tournament in the next couple years.

Looks like Cody may have hit a wall in the 5th. After getting two 6-3 ground outs a walk, a double and a single scored 2 runs for TCU to make it 5-4.

John Hayes came on in relief of Cody and got the final out of the inning.

Our bullpen has not exactly been lights out this year and there is a lot of game left. Shocks will very likely have to put some more runs on the board.

John Hayes walks the lead off batter in the 7th and that will do it for him. Fr. Robby Evans replacing him on the mound.

John simply has not had it this year. And primarily what he has not had is any consistent command of the strike zone with any of his pitches.

What the heck is Butler's deal about refusing to give his team a chance? Seriously, its not news that Hayes has no clue where the strike zone is located. As soon as he walked the first guy in the 6th, someone should have been warming. 2nd walk should have been removed. Got what you deserved coach. And then to leave him in to start the 7th?? incompetence. To top it all off, down 1 and a lead off double*, bunt the dang runner over and give your team a chance to tie it up and play from even. I cannot believe the complete inability to manage the game so your team has a chance to get a HUGE win. Please just pack your stuff up and get the hell out of Wichita Butler.
