Kemnitz should resign. His pitching staff is a joke. I'm sure OU would love to have him back.
Butler recruited the pitchers.. as a former player i know that is true.

Wow. I had to leave at the end of the 8th inning. Could you have a more discouraging, deflating, or demoralizing loss than that. Totally unacceptable. If you can't win a game you lead 9-1 after 5 innings and a game that you score 11 runs in over 8 inning then you are screwed, blued and tattooed.

We are scoring enough runs but the pitching staff is in shambles at this point. I have no idea if they have any chance of turning that around or not.

Not sure I could be any more discouraged about the state of Shocker baseball. I guess their is always Shocker Softball.

Suppose to be Chase Williams but they had him in a little bit today. Not sure why we are changing that! Another "coaching decision" I guess

Yes, there may have been some who prematurely wanted to toss him over the side, but Butler stayed patient and it's paying off.

How patient is he going to be with his pitching, though? Apparently one inning too many, judging from what happened to Tewes in the 6th -- although the bullpen certainly poured its share of gas on the fire in a harbinger of things to come, so getting Tewes out certainly did no good. Meanwhile, Hayes has no command whatsoever, and Troutwine can't catch what he delivers. Talk about some serious battery issues.

Hopefully, basketball season will last another month to preoccupy us from this softball team playing at the Eck. Should it not however, the baseball board will then turn into a nuclear meltdown of epic proportions.

Brian Walker was a catcher in college and in the minors. Nevertheless, we seem to be having trouble here. While I supported Butler's hire (not my first or second choice), I had real reservations about Walker being hired at such an important position with his lack of "higher" coaching experience.

For those that may not know, this is from his Shocker bio: "In 2013, he finished his third season on the Arkansas coaching staff and his second season as the volunteer assistant. He spent five seasons with Shocker head coach Todd Butler at Arkansas."

Just seems like we'd do as well hiring the clerks at QT. Not sure they'd be worse. This team will do nothing under Butler, I hope I'm wrong.

Does interim AD Boatright have Kevin Hooper on speed dial?

                        Just wondering.

I really hate listening to the players chatter through the entire game. It's like women's volleyball. I need headphones.

How long is Coach Butler's contract? Thank you former A.D. Sexton.
