What a crazy game. The player for the Mavs that I called attention to had only SO twice in 26 ABs has SO 3 times today.

I was surprised to see the UNO leads the series with the Shocks 7-2. Can that be right?

We have only played twice since 1970. We won 5-3 in 2013 but that was later vacated. We lost last year 4-6.

Good job, Shocks. Need to eliminate the charitable giving though. Hopefully, Tanner Kirk is okay. He was off to a really solid start.

I have to say I like the suicide squeeze call and execution for the game winning RBI in the 8th.

Shane with a great story of unselfishness and putting the team 1st by Senior Chase Rader. Kudos to Chase. Fitting that Chase provided the key hit of the game with the 2-run triple and then scoring the winning run on the suicide squeeze by Mikel Mucha.

A 5-4 win over Nebraska-Omaha doesn't mean any more or any less than what it is at this point. But at least it is a heck of a lot better than another loss. Let's see what happens with Sam Houston State this weekend and then see what happens when we get into the real teeth of the non-con schedule from there.

Hopefully, if nothing else today's win will provide a bit of a psychological boost for the guys going forward.
