There was marked improvement this season from Feb. 15 to May 22. A trend we weren't seeing before. Things are far from perfect, but there is a slight up-tick.

The #10 regime is over. This season is over. Next season will be important.
The trend we haven't seen before would be the last two years including a losing season. The first since about 1970.
You call that a slight up-tic?
Granted, Shox lost some important pitching due to injuries, but since you don't cut fHCGS any slack over his health issues, we'll need to simply focus on results.

No, I don't think I'll give it up until TB makes a deep run in the NCAA tournament and sells out Eck for a few games. Until then, it looks like a dumb ass move by ES. I hope it wasn't though. The next two years will certainly be better than the last two. Correct?
    Go Shox!

Actually I was watching the third base coach right away to see if he would wave him in and he had the stop sign up well in advance of the runner reaching third. He had positioned himself at the far corner of the coaches box so the runner would see him as he approached third. Seeing the stop sign up I looked to the throw as it came to the catcher to see how close it would have been and was amazed to see the throw go to third to get the runner. I asked my dad if he fell down or something as the coach had held him up well before third. The ball was hit sharply and the center fielder was playing shallow so the throw was back in quickly. Holding him up was the right call imo, not sure if the runner wasn't looking but you can't put that one on butler.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree then, up on the outfield hill we saw it much differently. Perspective I guess, and it's hard to argue with a large group of people that saw it the same way. I still say Butler cost the Shox a run, as did Kihle. 2 very important runs that would have made the difference. As other people have said, the BBIQ on this team is just ridiculously low, and it starts with the coaching staff.

You can talk about trends all you want. The "results only" crowd clamored for Gene to leave even though we went to a regional in his final year. Where are they now? Like it or not, gene was the program.

You described it pretty well and pretty much in line with how Bruce and Shane saw it. Shane for sure is known to understand the game. I saw it pretty much the way you saw it and also that Sam pretty much had his head down as he approached and rounded third. Shane and Bruce pretty much placed the blame on Sam. They had no criticism of HCTB on the play.
