Sliding vs. running through goes to BBIQ.

You see it often, when a play occurs that isn't what the umpires expect or isn't 'normal', the ump is indecisive. Definitely the wrong call per the replays.

Hopefully, this team will at some point learn how not to beat themselves. Just very frustrating to watch at times.

Well coming into the tournament I thought 2-2 was about as good as the Shocks could do in this tournament being in MSU's bracket. And that's what we got.

Saw some improvement over the last month of the season but the Shocks still have too many holes in their roster and they still have a boat load of work to become relevant again.

Thank you Eric Sexton. Disappointing two seasons now. Was it all worth it?

A lot of things can be made out of the fact that you outhit a team 13-9 but lose the game by 2 runs.

A fitting end to a pretty shitty season.

Sure, it was nice to get some W's at the end. I see lots of potential, but there's also quite a bit of learning that still needs to happen.

No, believe it or nor it is May. However, with the weather were having your confusion is understandable.

You need to give it up. The program was going to hell in a hurry under #10. He was disconnected from the team, by his own admission, due to personal issues.

There was marked improvement this season from Feb. 15 to May 22. A trend we weren't seeing before. Things are far from perfect, but there is a slight up-tick.

The #10 regime is over. This season is over. Next season will be important.

I look back at 2 plays that really hurt the Shox last night... Butler getting a guy thrown out at 3rd which killed a rally, and Kihle misplaying a line drive and turning it into an inside the parker. Of course Kirk striking out on a pitch Shaq couldn't have hit and arens taking strike 3 down the gut to end the game didn't help.

I applaud the Shox for their fight and for really outplaying MSU, but no baseball IQ whatsoever and it starts with the head coach

Yes, those two for sure. Also the potential double play ball where a lunge for the runner followed by a bad throw to first resulted in zero outs.

Randy Walter made a play in RF similar to the Kihle play once upon a time. It was either in a crucial end of season game or the MVC tournament that cost the Shox a game.

BBIQ, folks, BBIQ. Baseball requires so much more situational awareness than most sports.

I see those things happen often when I watch MLB on television.

I am almost positive that Todd threw up a stop sign from the beginning but that Sam just took too wide of a turn. But yes, that play was frustrating. When you are the inferior team, you cannot have those kind of mistakes.

I saw it different, I saw Todd waving Sam in as soon as the ball was hit, it wasn't until Sam got to third base that Todd realized he screwed up and tried to hold up a quick stop sign, but by then it was too late. According to a couple of the players after the game, Todd took the blame for the Shox scoring 1 less run last night. If that is the case, I will give him credit for admitting his mistake there. At the same time, he's not the first coach to ever make that mistake, but you're right, when you're fighting for your postseason life against the top team in the conference, those types of mistakes drive the nail in the coffin
