Very nice win. Now they just need to keep tomorrow game close and find a way to win it just like tonight.

I managed to succumb to the fact of going to the game just for the sake of us popping off the Redturds. And boy do I not regret it. What an incredible comeback. Hillard, first-pitch no-doubter. Absolutely awesome. And then Hayes with sick **** in the 9th to finally beat the Redturds when it mattered the most. Felt great.
Reality definitely hits tomorrow. Not gonna be expecting too much but winners of 10 in a row at home and postseason baseball will reel me in for tomorrow night. Might as well win the whole f***** thing.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Our rotation of starters deserves a ton of credit for their progress these last 16 games.
Quality starts were an endangered species for a long time after Tewes and Schwanke went down. Now we have 4 guys who have shown massive improvement and have the ability to pitch effectively for 6 or 7+. Next year's rotation might be the deepest we have had in almost a decade.

8th inning last night
Question: Paul Suellentrop's article in the Eagle today said that Trey Vicker's hit in the 8th inning occurred when he threw his bat at a breaking bat. I asked a friend about it who attended the game & he apparently wasn't in a position to tell if Vickers actually threw his bat at the ball. Did he really do that as it is a pretty rare feat? In fact, I'd like to share a historical fact on the subject & some readers weren't born yet when this happened. Back in the 80's or early 90's, WSU was leading Arizona State by one run in a CWS game. It was either a national title game or a semi-final game. Arizona State's hitter got a hit when he threw his bat at an outside pitch. ASU then went on to win the game. I was living in Tempe, AZ, at the time, so the bat throwing for a hit event stuck in my memory. I sent Paul Suellentrop an email about this today, so perhaps he can look up the game and date when that happened.
