I like this with T Web getting a day off from catching but still getting his bat in the lineup. I wonder if we will see more of this this year. I guess it mostly depends on how Lassley does.

Lassley is an awfully good player. I know he is a bit small for a catcher or at least traditional thinking as to what you want a catcher to be but hes damn good. he is a real pest at the plate. Its gonna be real hard to keep him off the field. hes gonna get playing time somehow someway anyway because hes that kind of kid and that kind of player. He is exactly what gene and the staff love in a player. hell do anything and everything you could ever ask of him and do it harder than anyone else. Sure he may not hit for the power most would like out of their catcher but... whats wrong with a catcher that doesn't bog down the base paths and can hit for a good average and consistency. I love this kid.

Who's the last WSU pitcher to debut as a starter? Pelfrey? Shafer?

1-1 heading to the bottom of the 2nd. Solo homeruns for both teams in the 1st. Workman hit one for WSU and Keith Hernandez hit one for ESU. We better check Hernandez's eligibility. I could have sworn that he retired from the Mets in like 1990.

HAHAHAHAHAH I spit out my sprite when I read Keiths name.

Keith Hernandez won the American Mustache Institute's survey for the Best Sports Mustache of all time. This video was prepared for Mustache Madness giveaway ...

                        They are eerily similar.

Kelley seems to have settled in. He now has four strikeouts with no walks. Shox lead 3-1 heading to the bottom of the 3rd.
