Evansville's Kyle Freeland, the #8 overall pick, signed with the Rockies for $2.3 million which was $891k under slot.

Milwaukee OTOH signed the #41 pick for $445k over slot and the #50 pick for $700k over slot.

Not to be outdone the Mariners signed the #74 pick for $1.24 million over slot.

4 college seniors have been signed from the 1st 10 rounds so far, all in the 8-10th round. 1 has signed for $30,000 and 3 for $10,000 which are all around $130,000 under slot. Seniors have no leverage. It would appear that the ones a pro team really, really wants, gets drafted early, but receives nothing dollar wise.

So I believe all 4 of our Juniors that were drafted, Gillaspie, Ladwig, Simpson and Baker, have now all signed pro contracts. Cale Elam has also signed on with the Tigers. Good luck gentlemen and I hope you have a blast pursuing your dreams.

I don't know about the situations of those other picks/players that you mentioned, but #50 was Monte Harrison, from Lee's Summit. If I remember right, he had a football scholarship from Nebraska on the table, so offering him so much over slot was no doubt needed to entice him to sign and pass up that scholarship.
