I'd love to see him go to KC at #28. Maybe even #17.

A couple of impressive looking high school pitchers go to Houston and Miami in the top two picks. A lefty and a righty.

Evansville's LHP Kyle Freeland goes to the Colorado Rockies as the #8 pick in the draft.

        Congratulations to Kyle.

The Royals take Brandon Finnegan, a 5-11, 185 lb LHP, out of TCU with the 17th pick. Apparently, he has had some problems with his shoulder but pitched very well in his last outing.

Not too surprisingly 13 of the first 20 picks have been pitchers with two of them College pitchers that are having TJ surgery. 6 LHP's and 7 RHP's. 9 college pitchers and 4 high school pitchers.

Casey Gillaspie goes to Tampa Bay at #20. Congrats Casey. The analyst are saying Tampa Bay needs offense and drafted accordingly.

Drafted by an organization with a recent history of knowing what the hell they are doing. Shocking. And nice.

                Congratulations, Casey!

Jim Bowden Casey Gillaspie the most under-rated power bat in the draft #Rays legit light tower power from both sides of plate

He may never play for the big club in TB, but I feel like they will help his development and career, unlike some organizations....

This is true. They do have a good organization, they just don't have the support (fan or ownership) to really be big time though.
