well, Simpson still got a hit, but the call cost WSU a run.

Not sure I would call it even. The ball was against the fence in right field. Simpson would've scored with no problem. 2 very bad calls, to be sure, but one took 2 runs off the board for WSU. Luckily the Shox do come through with some hits to get a run. Really like the aggressive ABs in that inning. Lots of hard hit balls on the ground or liners.
