True. But keep in mind these were bought thru the baseball office of Wichita State University. Thats the only way they got the discount.

"Hey guys, Under Armor just sent me their newest catalog and WSU staff and students appear to be getting some really great deals ... take a look at this price list. If you or the other boys, or friends, or family need anything I'm placing an order for Brent on the practice gear so you might as well place your order so we can all save on shipping."
It really could be as innocent and as simple as that. No intention to break any violations, no conspiracy, no motive beyond saving people some money on shipping and getting a volume discount, and nothing personally gained by a single staff member at WSU.
Could it be scandalous? Of course, but I don't really see how that could play out. What would she have to gain? She doesn't control the purse strings. There was no superior pressuring her into placing an order for discounted items for the athletes. The only possible scenario I can see is if she buys the equipment for $x dollars and then sells it to the athletes at a slight markup for $x + $y dollars, putting $y in her pocket. But come on, that didn't happen. So there really just isn't a motive here for her to do anything illicit.
I'm going with innocent until proven guilty, because not only is that the right thing to do, it is also a very realistic scenario (and possibly the MOST realistic scenario).Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

It is quite difficult to believe that others were not aware of Shelley's actions.
It is quite plausible to me that Shelley had no idea that she was violating NCAA rules.

On a slight tangent, I signed my son up today for the winter catcher's camp later this month. The waiver and registration goes through Shelley and her email address (a hotmail address, which I thought was odd). Does anyone know how this will affect these off-season camps?
I sent an email to coach Butler asking about this, so I hope to hear something soon from him.

How could this be going on for 2 years and the fHCGS staff not know about it, yet HCTB discovers it within 2 weeks of his arrival?
Curious as to the other programs within WSU that participated? As is the norm for ADES, we won't hear anything more until the verdict is in. ADES has some "splainin' to do...

Additionally, any AD that lets a coach go "rogue" as some believe Gene to be, seriously lacks leadership skills.
ADES has been athletic director for nearly six years. That is over 5 years of letting a coach run rogue on him.

I don't know enough about the Brent situation or what he knew to comment, but a rouge baseball program was something Sexton inherited and it appears only had the backing to take on with the change in president. How many times do we really have to have this conversation?"Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

How about until it makes sense.
Sexton has some issues coming up which I'm concerned he's not qualified to handle. Not only the baseball investigation, but a VB coach that rubs the players the wrong way, and except for last year, seems to set his program's goal as simply making the NCAA tournament. That wasn't good enough for Gene but appears to be good enough for Lamb???
Sexton could have fired Gene at any time for cause if Sexton had been doing his job with rules oversight. He didn't take any action and placed WSU at risk. I suppose now he'll blame "mean" Gene and say he was just too intimidating to confront.
If Bardo gave Sexton the green light to fire Gene, Bardo will not hesitate to fire Sexton. After all, what has Sexton really done for WSU, excluding raising more money to retain HCGM?

Keeping my fingers crossed for a "non-issue" finding once the investigation is complete.
