Yes, that's possible and could be a potential issue with many candidates. OTOH, it my be viewed as a plus by some candidates. Was it an issue in with Heefner. Don't know.

98% accurate. Sutton and wife were preparing to leave for Wichita when Scott had a change of heart. They were home shopping. Sorry I missed your call. Insane crazy day for me.

Really this seems to have worked out pretty well that Heefner decided to stay at DBU. I mean if he would have left to come here they would have to find a replacement for him. Lets face it they couldn't have found anyone as good and their team would stink and so would their rpi. They would become the new rpi abyss for the mo valley. He did the mo valley a big favor by staying at DBU. He/DBU has also replaced cretin as a team we can love to hate. I know we didn't hate cretin because they were a Catholic school but because they were pretentious pricks. I can think that a private Baptist school can have its share of pretentious pricks as well as feeling like a jilted suitor. Yeah Dan just remember when you come up here and we kick your backside just remember it could have been you doin' the thumpin. Is it just me or am I the only one that sees the positive side to this?

I guess it's all perception. I view the west side as Grape ground. Seems like I see tons of Powercats out west, with western Kansas after-college transplants buying their 1300 SF builder's grade mansions to impress ma and pa back home.

I see way more Shocker gear on cars and people out east than I do west. But again, that perception thing...

Look at it this way, 3G and GS both live in that geographic outline that Metalkatz laid out (at least Gene did before his divorce). I'm pretty sure Sexton lives east. Metric craptons of professors live east. Our biggest of boosters live east.

This afternoon on KSGO radio they were saying that Heefner was definitely interviewed and offered the job. He turned it down. They also said that ADES contacted Loren Hibbs and Hibbs told ADES he was not interested. They said that WSU is now down to the #3 guy on their list which is Butler from Arkansas.
