Ummm, no. BK said on the radio that he got the call long enough before Gene's presser that he was able to call and tell Gene himself. He even said he didn't stay on the phone long with Gene because he was getting ready for the press conference.

Gene said that everyone would be fired. It wasn't reported, and I'm telling you that comment isn't factual. Brent was absolutely not going to be fired unless it was simply a legal-strategic move for ease of paperwork. Brent was staying.

Brent was asked to stay on, yes, but I think you have to put 2 and 2 together and see if that really just happened at the last minute or perhaps earlier? Personally, I don't believe it happened that day, hint hint nudge nudge wink wink know what I mean know what I mean?

Brent is NOT hanging around to see how the new coach and he get along. He's in this for the long haul and is going to get a long term contract.
