The rosters of the 7-team Jayhawk Collegiate League do not have much in the way of D-1 talent on them. I would expect our guys to do well in that league but if they they struggle that would not be a good sign.

Jordan Rogers with a turn and watch it no doubter.

Looks like a pretty good crowd in attendance.

                Jordan gets into another one:

I didn't see that it bounce off the top of the batter's eye as described by the announcer, but in any case a nice blast for Jordan.

Totally forgot about AJ. Not sure what to call a guy that is listed on the roster but doesn't have a number. Coming back from an injury apparently. Top 10 guy in Minnesota last year, will be a 20 year old redshirt freshman next spring. Not top level velo but good movement shown on that video.

Very good movement. A LOT of stuff left up, which might not end well against competent hitters.

The Rochester Honkers not off to a good start at 2-10, last in the Great Plains East division.

Daniel Zang has 2 starts pitching a total of 9.1 innings giving up 7 runs (5 earned) on 8 hits, 9 walks, 3 hit batters, and 2 wild pitches with 6 strikeouts for an ERA of 4.82, a WHIP of 1.82 (2.14 if you include the hit batters), and a BAA of .242 . Daniel is tough to hit but he clearly continue to struggle with his command.

AJ Rasmussen has 3 appearances totaling 3.2 innings and has not been effective so far giving up 7 runs all earned on 9 hits, 5 walks, 1 hit batter with 3 strikeouts for an ERA of 17.18, a WHIP of 3.82 (4.09 if you include the hit batter), and a BAA of .474.

Certainly, nothing encouraging about those early stats.

Daniel Zang has not pitched since June 3rd. So I am wondering if Zang has shut it down for the summer as far as competitive ball goes.

AJ Rasmussen has had 4 appearances since the above post totaling 7.2 innings in which he gave up 1 unearned run on 1 hit and 10 walks with 8 strikeouts. A huge improvement over his first 3 appearances. His biggest challenge seems to be finding the strike zone consistently but lately I guess he has been effectively wild.

Zang hasn’t been on their roster for at least 8 days so yeah, one way or the other he’s shut it down.

Still think Leikam holds potential. Hope he is healthy.

Didn't look like Josh took all that big of a cut at this one. Nice under control swing.

Josh is hitting .282 on 11-39 including 1 homerun and 7 walks. He has struck out 7 times. His OBA is .391 and his SLP is .385 for an OPS of .776.

Alex Birge, who is reportedly heading to Cal, has an interesting stat line for the Saints. He is hitting .368 on 7-19 plus he has walked 11 times and been hit by pitches 2 times giving him OBA of .625. With and SLP of .474 he has an OPS of 1.099.
