Yeah, winner takes all is an awesome approach here for both schools. And they have nothing to lose by NOT accepting that, except I suppose MemphEx' seniors could risk losing getting to play in one last career game.

They have to win two games, and then get help, mostly from FAU and or Rice losing out. 0-0, 1-0, 1-1 are all non-starters, no matter what else happens. 2 and 0 and help is what they need.
If you listen to their coach's presser, that is a result that seems incredibly unlikely.

Really hope Favors is on a tight pitch count tonight. OTOH, I suppose you could argue that getting to the champ game is impacted more by not being in ECU's pod than by who we have pitching on Wednesday.
So I guess the real key is the offense blowing the doors off. That opens up flexibility.
