Tyler Dobbs was very, very good this evening. He certainly has lived up to expectations and then some. They freshened Zang and Anderson. Wanted to see Mount, got to see him, not awful, not great but probably know what they're going to get from him at least.
Good midweek split. Pretty dominant tonight (which bodes well for Clearwater) and frankly it doesn't take a stretch to see them winning last night and Nebraska is good. Not CWS good but they are plenty good. They'll struggle with good Friday guys in the B1G but only Indiana and Iowa have a shutdown Friday guy on their conference schedule. I'd guess they finish higher than 5 in the B1G and they could win it (Big Ten is bad this season).
Camden Johnson has a cannon at 3rd and is fun to watch. A work in progress, but we're competitive at least, and that's a good start. Pitching is much better than I anticipated. I wish we would have executed a little better at the plate and scored a couple more runs, but if that's the complaint in a 9-3 win, I'm beyond spoiled.
I said we needed to be 6-1 vs ORU, UT & Gonazaga (the Zags are a lot better than their record) and we're 4-0 to this point. And we needed to be 4-3 vs OU, NU, LBSU & KSU and we're 3-3 with KSU to go. On schedule at least. RPI at 41 with 30% of the season gone. Hat tip to the program for fighting and believing in themselves to date.
Go Shocks!
