Pretty much forgot about the 1 year change for '23-'24 to the roster size (likely to be made permanent in the fall) from 35 to 40. Good for the kids, good for the richer programs to stockpile talent. Bad for everyone else as usual.

Don’t agree it’s good for the kids, just means 5 more on the pine spending their season considering their transfer options. Definitely good for the richer programs and bad for everyone else.

Perhaps it’s just me, but is anyone else not quite buying what this cat is selling? Man, I really want to support him and the program, just struggling to do so.

Clearly Coach Green uses a PMA approach to the way he operates. I have no issue with that but it does need to be tempered with a dose of reality and perhaps a little caution to avoid getting too far ot over his skis to often.

Perhaps he deserves a modest amount of criticism for his "this is not a rebuild comment" and the "I will have my staff in place by the Saturday" comments at his introductory presser. I think that was a bit too optimistic but in the overall scheme of things certainly nothing that comes close to cause one to bail on the program. Let's see where we are a couple of years from now.

Would Gene Stephenson had been able to do what he did if he had not come in with Can Do attitude. Of course, that attitude alone won't do the trick. But add in a hard work, drive and determination you will have a chance. Will Coach Green get us back to the glory days of the 80's and 90's. No he won't. Nor will anyone else. But we need to be much better than we have been since Gene was replaced.

I just want to be where Oral Roberts and Southern Miss are now; I could probably live with that... and it's probably time most of us turn off our meters...
