I'm not qualified to question or criticize Hibbs, but with the #1 seed going down and the #2 seed going down, this is a must-win game. The bracket is so much easier starting out on the winning side with the top 2 seeds playing elimination games every day.
I'm guessing the decision was to save the top pitchers for elimination games.

Top Pitchers?
Grant was 1st Team All-Conference. Just had a bad outing.
But we have Jace throwing well, and now have potential to bring back Grant if needed. Not best scenario, but we’re ok at this point.
