DBU ended up holding on to beat ORU 11-8. DBU is now in the drivers seat in the regional. The winner of the Baylor-ORU game will have to beat DBU twice to win the regional.

Missouri State has a shot....CU (and for that matter New Mexico) do not.

Samford has some of the nation's best offensive numbers...

They bombed Mississippi State (the SEC Champ) in the first match...I don't know if the Samford pitching is deep enough to make a three game run to get out of the regional, but they can hit the ball.

                  Go Samford or Mississippi State.
                  Deuces Valley.
                  ... No really, deuces.

I think that I like Florida to get to the CWS..and maybe go deep into the series. They have deep pitching.

FSU will not make it out of a Super this year....weak offense and thinnish pitching.

Mo State continues to get out to quick starts as it put up a 5-spont in the top of the 1st and leads Stony Brook 7-3 after 4.

Samford did beat Mississippi State 3-2 to advance against #3 Florida State.

The wheels have come off the MSU bus in bottom of the 7th. Through 6 inninings Cody Schumacher had given up only 3 runs on 3 hits and all those were unearned as MSU has committed 4 errors. But in the 7th he gave up a double and three singles to lead off the botton of the 7th as Stony Brook scored two and had runners on the corners. MSU brought in Tyler Burgess. A sac bunt scored the runner from third and moved the runner on 1st over second. That was followed by two walks to load the bases with 1 out and ended the day for Burgess. MSU brought in Erik Shanahan who had only pitched 8.1 innings of the year. He got the second out on a shallow fly to CF but then walked in the tying run and they gave up a bases clearing 3-run double.

After 7 its now Stony Brook 10 - Missouri State 7.

Stonybrook scores 7 runs in the bottom of the 7th, many of them with 2 outs to lead 10-7 going to the 8th inning. Cody Schumaker ran out of gas and was replaced by their All Valley Closer Tyler Burgess who couldn't get it done.
