Wedge Stepping Away for Health Reasons

Eric Wedge has “stepped away” as head coach of the Wichita State baseball team due to personal health matters, per AD Kevin Saal.

Scooter Hibbs will serve as interim coach. In statement, Saal said no decision has been made long term and that their thoughts are with Wedge.

Based on what I have heard, I think it is hard pressed that he ever returns as head coach. Hoping the best for him and his health.

Lol. He finally got called out on his drinking problem. He crossed the line being hammered in front of recruits and their parents while at the fall World Series. Just couldn’t put down the bottle.
