And he mentions Harbutz great pick up of the bad throw by Casey as the defensive play of the game (which it definitely was):

Harbutz made a great grab of a one-hop throw from Gillaspie in the eighth, perhaps the defensive play of the game. If that throw gets past him, the Cowboys have two on with no outs and a runner likely at third.

That play by Harbutz was huge and so was the successful 3rd to first pick off move by Vielock. The next OSU batter hit a fly out that would have scored the guy from third if their hadn't been 2 outs.

Twice in that game WSU was actually able to get the lead runner out on a bunt play. That is pretty unusual. (the second one was a throw from Elam that almost led to a double play).

Okie State beat Texas Tech again today 5-2. They are now 2-0 since losing to the Shox on Tuesday.

I realize our team is on life support right now and that the fat lady is on the stage warming up, but until our team is mathematically eliminated I am holding out a sliver of hope. After losing two games at home to MoST, the Shox rpi is still at 72.

Better be careful because a sliver that size could give you a really nasty paper cut when it's finally pulled away.

Agreed. I think he is now purposely trolling.

He posts scores on Oklahoma State today but doesn't even touch the WSU thread. Coincidence?

Okie State ended up sweeping Texas Tech to move into sole possession of 4th place in the big 12. The Shox rpi has improved to #68 (warren nolan). The Shox finished last season with a rpi of 76.

This is kind of interesting, Okie State beat #66 rpi Ou 6-1 last night but it didn't change the big 12 standings. They must have considered it a non-con game because they do play each other 3 more times later this season. The Shox rpi stands at #64 as of this morning (warren nolan).

That might be a pattern this year in the big 12, KU and KSU are playing a "non-conference game" tonight in Lawrence.

I wonder if these extra "non-conference games" against conference teams is a result of UNL leaving the big 12.

#99 Okie State swept #154 K-State this weekend in Manhattan. Since we play both teams, it shouldn't have that much of an affect on WSU's rpi. We just need to take care of business and beat K-state this Tuesday in Wichita.

#98 Okie State plays #67 Ou this weekend for 3 games. If Okie State can take the series it won't only help our rpi but it could knock Ou out of at large consideration.
