            Decent chance he gets tagged out if he tries to go back to 3rd. At least there was a chance for the ball to get thrown away at home. I'm not sure what the college rule is for plays at the plate. But apparently, you have to slide.

                    My guess would be WSU had runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out. Run in contact. If Tulane boots the play, a run scores. At worst, they end up with runners on 1st and 3rd (if Gibson slides) with two outs. Because he didn’t slide, the runner had to return to 2nd.

                      Not long ago, that’s a regular play. I don’t recognize this new game. He ran straight through home plate. He didn’t appear to head bunt to me. At 230 lbs. he may not know how to slide.
