Only 1 Green Wave scores, lucky to limit the damage.

Minimized the damage to one run. He needs to avoid those full counts. Had three of them that inning.

Tulane's ESPN+ broadcast is the real deal. Color commentator isn't my favorite but that's my only complaint. WSU athletic department needs to shoot for this.

Shocks have something brewing in the 3rd. Single, triple (run), HBP. Nobody out.

I think Olthoff has gotten a couple of generous strike calls, but he sure can paint the corners with his breaking stuff.

Olthoff strikes out three in a row to leave runners stranded at second and third. On the bright side, Shockers have managed to make Olthoff throw some pitches.

Nice, quick, 8-pitch inning by Snavely. 3-1, good guys.

Indeed they have. Olthoff is at 55 pitches after 3 innings.

                    That could be huge.

Wish this team wouldn’t leave so many runners on base, especially with less than 2 outs

                      ... No really, deuces.

We aren't a great hitting team. Two K's with no outs and a runner on third aren't a good sign, and I'm sure that doesn't make Wedge happy, but 3rd.Snavely has gotten outs with less than two outs and a runner on 3rd so it goes both ways.

                          Friendly called third strike there

According to the Tulane broadcasters, we’re the second best hitting team in the league.

In terms of team batting average in all games that is true. ECU is at .306 and WSU is at .286. Not sure that was true before the last 4 games with Houston but the Shocks as a team hit .359 in those games.

Given the pitcher we're facing, and being without Kocis and Cornblum, I'll take getting three of five baserunners across.
