I think it's the right play. You know he's throwing to the plate. Throw was so bad the catcher had to run out in front of the plate 10 feet to catch it. That meant he wasn't dealing with a tag and made the throw to 3rd easy. Maybe unfortunate, but I think it was the right play by the Shox all the way around.

They managed the run they had to get, and I don't think the aggressiveness behind it was dumb, at the least.

Not exactly a deep fly ball but just deep enough and at least Alex put the ball in play when he had to. Not something too many of his teammates can say today.

Gifford had Corona struck out but unfortuantely he fooled 2 of the people at the plate. With new life Corona gets an infield single.
