          :good:

          Texas State - RPI 38
          Santa Clara - RPI 228
          La Laf - RPI 90

good mix of teams. Should give WSU fans a good idea where this team is at.

It sounds like a pretty challenging way to start the season to me.

Anyone coming down to watch the matchup I have been dreaming about for years is more than welcome to come drink some beers with me. I am so excited about this game and can't wait to be confused on who I am rooting for. (I will be there in my Texas State gear but that doesn't mean my old Wichita State caps aren't still hanging in my closet).

Our stadium is a bit smaller than yours (ok a lot) but it works. Our pitching is not on par with what is usually coming out of Wichita State but our bats are stellar. This should really be an entertaining matchup. We have Carson Smith who is by far the best pitcher we have had at Texas State in a long time.

The core of our team from last year turned down their pro offers and returned so be ready to watch a team that plays the style of ball Wichita State did back in the 90s. Love to smash (just not the quality of pitching except Smith).

Edit: I spoke way too soon. I have been living overseas and have apparently missed out on Carson Smith signing with the Mariners over the summer. So, Our pitching sucks all around.

That means you guys will do well against us. We have no problem hitting the 90 mph + pitchers, it's just when we face junk ballers with fastballs topping 79 mph that kill us. You'll be fine.

Think I might have to make the drive up from San Antonio for that...
Deep in the heart of couldn't give a crap about college basketball-land and I miss the SHOX.

Looks like a good road trip. Just turn south on I-35 and keep going until you get to San Marcos.

I hope the weather cooperates between here and there in mid-February.

One thing everybody should do when they're down there is make the 20-mile trek to Lockhart, TX, which is renowned as the Barbecue Capitol of Texas. It's a small town, but is home to two of Texas Monthly's Top 5 BBQ joints in Texas. Those two would be Smitty's Market and Kreuz (pronounced "Krites") Market. They've each been featured on "Food Wars" and have plenty of videos on YouTube. A third place, Black's BBQ, is also supposed to be great.

I've only been to Smitty's, but I have to say it was an awesome experience. Hands down the greatest smoked sausages on the planet.

Pioneers of the original Texas BBQ experience! Owned by the same family since 1932. Nationwide shipping available.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Does anyone else live down this way? I've been in Austin since '06 - fired up that the Shox are finally making a trip further South than Dallas.
