I was told the standard scoring rule is if the ball is touched it's an error. If it falls untouched it's a hit. Then again different scorers have different philosophies

This is pretty much what people follow, though I've never understood it. How the scorekeeper uses the discretion to determine what constitutes the difference between a ground ball hit and error based on "should the play have been made" but doesn't with fly balls has never made sense to me. But, I am a simpleton.

I think Greyson is a much better hitter when he utilizes the entire field. Seems like he can struggle when he gets pull happy.

Those are dreaded words. Seems like everytime we have a guy shelved for forearm tightness he ends up under the knife. Hopefully, in Tim's case it will actually turn out to be just forearm tightness. We have one our guys sitting out know with forearm tightness although he is not anywhere the quality of pitcher that Tim Cate is.
