Shockers escape a bases loaded jam with a strikeout of the leadoff man, still scoreless to the 3rd. Good job by Keylan so far - he's had difficulty in prior starts surviving a second trip through the lineup, hopefully he can improve on that here.

44 pitches logged through 2 innings - hopefully we can get at least 4 out of him.

WSU strands Boyer at 2nd with a pair of strikeouts by Ritter and Jenista to end the threat in the top of the 3rd.

I'll feel better about the direction of the program when we start handling ORU again. Sheesh. And yes, I'm well aware this was a problem during the final years of the previous staff.

Definitely due to get smoked in a game.

Too early to panic, ORU will use like 7 pitchers. We will hit one or two of them...

At the game, feels like we are getting squeezed. Definitely not getting the same pitch at the bottom of the zone.

Wow. Swinging on the first pitch with the bases juiced after our pitcher had gone full count, HBP, HBP. Good coaching! Thanks ORU!

Ugly 3rd inning but could have been worse.

Shocks go down 1-2-3 in the 4th. Our top 5 in the order are a combined 0-10 so far this afternoon - we'll need that to improve if we're going to have a chance.

                2-0 ORU to B4.

Man these ORU power arms aren’t giving our stellar offense much of a chance.

Will we score before it becomes meaningless?

He just hit his fourth batter in the past 2 innings.

This inning he has 2 SOs and 2 HBP. How weird is that?

Better not dig in against Random Robby

                  • Clayton on. Bases juiced with 2 outs for ORU after Ritter failed to get it out of the web and throws late and wild for an error.

ORU bails us out with the 3rd out at home attempting to score on a wild pitch.

                    Whew.

                        • Thank goodness ORU is completely inept! They have left 10 on base through the first 4 innings. That is bases loaded twice and two on the other two times...

                          • We are living super dangerously on the mound but 2 runs through 4 innings is fine for the hurlers we're running out there. Hitters need to kick it in gear.
