Bruin announcers praying for a hit by pitch to stay alive in the bottom of the 9th.

Don pitcher getting squeezed at the end.

Borderline error by the 2nd baseman extends the inning following a 2 out bunt single.

Bruins have doubled their hits from 2 to 4 this inning.

Not saying he needs a brushback but the UCLA on deck batter is WAY out of the circle.

Seriously, this guy is MAYBE 10 feet off the dirt.

Now a HBP loads them with 2 out. This is a gift right now.

Excellent. Got the ***** looking on a 2-2 count. Bruin boy is saying he didn't like it. Know where he's saying he didn't like it? In the dugout.

3-0 San Francisco Dons. 4 seed slaps the #1.

That was a great ending Doc. 3 gift baserunners and the big bad Bruins still couldn't push a run across. That was a gift-wrapped regional for UCLA. They shouldn't even have been a No.1 seed and only hosted because of all of the California teams in the regionals.

Another regional where seeds 3 and 4 advance. Me likey.
              Deuces Valley.
              ... No really, deuces.

Not only did UCLA have a poor overall record, they had a losing record against the rpi top 50. There is no way they should have been hosting.

Arizona State gets no-hit trough 6 innings, trails 2-1 into the bottom of the 9th and gets a walk-off homer against New Mexico.

                  Sucks.

#1 seeds are 13-2 so far with only CSF and Illinois left.

With 2 wins and 4 other scares, the bottom seeds have made a good showing in the opening round.

Wow, beat the living stuffing out of them.

I bet the softball chants were ringing loud during that blowout.
It was an interesting game....They threw their ace and FSU saved their only decent pitcher for game #2 against Bama today. A "look ahead" game for sure.

Bethune outpitched the Noles, and it wasn't pretty to watch.

FSU only has one decent pitcher, Gilmartin. and will have trouble in any tourney.

But Gilly is good...11-1, 1.52 ERA, 116 strike outs to 18 walks...

Bethune Cookman is behind UCF 1-0 in the 6th....Bethune is hanging so far with UCF (ranked #21 in RPI).

Not exactly close now... UCF up 14 - 5 still top 8th.

Oklahoma is in a world of trouble, trailing Oral Roberts 6-0 in the bottom on the 5th. They've been 2 hit so far.

Actually, the Sooners are LUCKY to be only down 6. ORU had the bases juiced with only 1 out in the second, having scored 3 in the inning, but could manage no more.

Maine eliminated Florida International (way too many Florida teams in the tournament, all playing close to home I might add). We used to see Maine in Omaha some time ago.

Belmont has Oklahoma State on the ropes as well, leading 3-0 in the 7th.

We used to see Maine when the regionals were really regionals and weren't seeded quite the way they are now.

Regardless, having a team from a place with a 6 month winter beat a team that doesn't have a winter is nice.
