No banter about how exciting it is to cheer on the Tigers in the postseason? Here's to Detroit this postseason and hoping that Dirks can be a part of a World Series championship!

Here's to Detroit this postseason and hoping that Dirks can be a part of a World Series championship!"If you're going to do it, you're going to do it right," athletic director Jim Schaus said. "If we're going to put 'Wichita State' across our chest, then every team is going to matter."

Wow! Very bad for the Tigers, very good for Dirks perhaps. First, Delmon Young hurts his oblique and now Magglio Ordonez breaks his ankle and both are out for the Tigers.
This means Dirks' chance of getting playing time just increased tremendously. Although a lot of lefties are in store for the Tigers, he may not see as much, but this helps his cause.

The Tigers are bringing Young back.
Dirks is actually hitting better against lefties than rightes, though far fewer ABs vs. southpaws.
.323 vs. .239

He is hitting an even .300 vs. The Rangers.
