Makes sense for DBU though, UTA, UTSA, Texas State, La Tech all right there, so while half the league is forever away the other half is close.

If the WAC hadn't also added several Texas schools within short driving distance of Dallas, accepting an MVC invite would be a no-brainer. But as it is, they wouldn't even have anyone in Texas' surrounding states.

The MVC just isn't as good a geographic fit as the WAC. I don't see how any blame could be placed on the league if they choose to go to the WAC.

I don't follow baseball as closely as most on here, but I know from a basketball standpoint that's just not pretty.

Looks like you can throw in Cal-State-Sacremento for baseball as well...

I have also heard that Cal State Bakersfield may be joining the WAC. They were a division 2 school until very recently.

I think the WAC would be absolutely horrible for WSU.

The travel would be a killer. And in most sports the competition would be a major step down from the Valley.

I will add that I am very disappointed about DBU not joining the Valley.

I enjoyed the road trip to Dallas last year and was looking forward to making that trip every other year in the future.

It's a disappointment in terms of the quality of the Valley, but there's nothing to say WSU can't continue to schedule Dallas Baptist.
