A guy that just knows how to pitch, doesn't have the overwhelming, radar light up stuff, but just gets the job done, by mixing speeds, hitting his spots and throwing strikes.
WSU needs a Dreifort who can pitch and hit.

Sometimes pitchers are pretty good hitters and they get to college and you take the bats out of their hands. Yeah, they might get hurt sliding, running, batting, chasing girls, etc but you can't live in fear and frankly this program needs to looks for talent under every rock now.

WSU needs better everything. There are huge issues in ALL phases of the game. You can single out the glaring issues but the totality of crappy baseball being displayed is just mind boggling.

I still have faith that 80 percent of the issues is mental, but there might be a time where we have to face the fact that the talent level on the team is not Top 50 caliber.

        Isn't Elam a 2 way guy?

We've had some great 2-ways guys in the past.

In addition to DD, Toby Smith and, of course, Travis Wycoff come to mind right of the bat.

Mostly recently I suppose Noah Krol fit that bill.

Damon Sublett showed signs on-and-off as a two-way guy as well.

Shox need to take a look at Adam Giacalone at Neosho County Juco. He's a power hitting 1st baseman probably 10+ bombs so far this year and a very good pitcher as well. Struck out 17 in one game this year. As I understand it he was a late bloomer who is a qualifier who would be a nice fit. :goshocks:
