Even though I'd say we safely laid that conversation to rest, I still would like to hear a rundown on the MSU basketball outlook if I can get it.

When was the last time that Wichita State hosted a white out against Chadron State?
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

WSU has played 2 more meaningful games on a football field in the last decade than MSU has, and WSU doesn't have a football team.

        2006 - #17 WSU 64 - #15 Syracuse 61
        2013 - (1)Lville 72 - (9)WSU 68

Combined 2-game attendance in football stadiums? 98000.

They've got some size in McCullough, but they Lusk depth. You might say their roster is a little lacklusker. Let's just put it this way ... would you want to play for the "Bad Lusk Bears"?

The outlook is like a joke that is so bad it's funny! That's why we are flocking to our football games! By the way no one came up with a HOME game at Wichita that had a crowd over 18000. So I guess it hasn't "been laid to rest."

To be fair, no one came up with applicable relevance either.

And be careful how well you all flock. The university may get confused and try to sell you off to pay for uniforms.

I think that they are safe as long as they "flock". But if they "herd" into the stadium, this may become a problem.

You should let this "question" of yours die because it is asinine. Our football stadium seats 30K, so what do you think the answer to your question is, Mr. Mensa?

How is 18,000 a benchmark? Straightforward question. 18,000? That is a good number for basketball, but Missouri State has never hosted a basketball game that had anyway near 18,000. Ever. They've had exactly zero basketball games that matched Wichita State basketball games held at IBA. Zero.

As for 18,000 and football? Hitting the attendance threshold of 18,000 means you are irrelevant. Period. Mizzou fans are lauging at you right now. Throwing that number out is silly simply because Wichita State has a larger football stadium and they don't even field a team. I'm sure in Wichita State's history, they have had 25-30,000 at a home football game. Missouri State has had a home game that reached 25-30,000 exactly zero times. Zero.

If you want to uss football attendance for a benchmark, 50,000 is where you start.

                    Bad troll effort.

We used to get 30K for our home openers. When is the last time MSU ever did that? Of course, our home opener had a little better drawing power than Chadron State. I imagine if you had someone with any conceivable name recognition, you could probably get 20K or maybe even 25K into your stadium that holds - let me look it up - OH, SNAP! Your stadium only holds 17,500.

I checked out the capacity on Wikipedia. Under the Contents listing there this is what's listed:

                        1. History
                        2. High School Football
                        3. References

it has been proven that having football increases enrollment at a university. In 2014 MSU enrollment: 24,500. WSU:15,000. MSU enrollment is up for 2015, waiting on final numbers.

You suck at the internet, and at using numbers to support your argument, but especially the numbers thing.

                            EDIT:

Since you seem to be going the direction of overall university profile, I'll just leave these uncomfortable (for you) factoids right here:

                            University Endowment:

                            WSU - $260M
                            MSU - $66M

                            University Research Funding:

                            WSU - $61M
                            MSU - $4M

But congrats on beating us on total enrollment (a nice ding-a-ling measuring contest, but one that offers no context to academics or profile). Lots of people shop at WalMart too, so there's that.

Wow! With all that enrollment increase and advantage over WSU, you probably have an athletic department with a lot more resources than ours. Resources like herds of cows - oh, that's right MSU sold those a few years ago to try to balance the AD budget.
