      • Was it trading cu bball tix for UNO hockey tix? Cause I saw that the other day. I was the real loser in that deal though, had to replace my keyboard and spend 10 minutes cleaning my monitor.

A person was trying to off-load his Creighton bball tickets for below face value on Craig's List. That is the state of the Creighton basketball program.

But what will they do with all those leftover T-shirts?

7,000 homeless or less fortunate getting clothed is always a good thing.

                    • I thought the new conference was going to solve all their financial shortfalls...

"This new level of competition has required Creighton Athletics to commit additional resources due to the rising costs of scholarships, escalating travel expenses, capital projects and staffing requirements."

Creighton Athletics has announced a new major gifts program to assist in the funding of the athletic department and Bluejay student-athletes.

"Major Gifts Program"....a nice way of saying "we need a lot of money from the community because we're in trouble"

I would think this is one of those times where it would really stink to be a private school in the midwest with considerably less of an alumni base than most state schools.

T-Shirts??? They aren't handing out sweater vests? No wonder they can't get people to show up.

What are they doing with that $3.2 million they get each year from the nBE TV contract?

Clearly "all this unprecedented amount of national attention" and "experiencing opportunities that once seemed impossible" must be expensive; I wonder just what these impossible opportunities are?

"The move to the BIG EAST Conference has brought an unprecedented amount of national attention to Creighton University and the athletic department. As a member of the BIG EAST Conference, Creighton student-athletes are experiencing opportunities that once seemed impossible. This new level of competition has required Creighton Athletics to commit additional resources due to the rising costs of scholarships, escalating travel expenses, capital projects and staffing requirements."

                                Fixed it.

Although I don't see how the unfortunate conference realignment has anything to do with "the rising costs of scholarships". Did the BE make CU raise their tuition in order to join their elite league?
