The better question might be does McD swallow his pride and accept true market value for his coaching skills, or does he just do something else with his life? If he does remain on current trajectory, then no AD in their right mind is going to pay much more than a fraction of his current salary for that resume. A middle-of-the-pack MVC job at $400K (or whatever) might look killer compared to the other offers on the table.
