I am very interested to see what happens in Larryville when The Rug hangs up his whistle. I don’t think there’s an obvious heir apparent.

Perhaps, but as was previously mentioned, the bluebloods haven’t been hiring earth-shattering home runs in the last few years. Might eventually turn out as such but all seemed to be fairly underwhelming.

Only three jobs remain open as Florida A&M hired an NAIA coach in Patrick Crarey.

Those three jobs are Chicago State, Fresno State, and Mount St. Mary's

I don't need to rehash my hatred for that program, it's been done enough.


But nothing compares to:

They've only had 8 Head Coaches in the history of the program.

Since the tournament existed, EVERY coach has made the Final Four.

The only coach with a losing record is the guy who invented the game.

Every coach since '83 has been a Naismith COY at least once, won a Natty (not necessarily at KU) and is in the HOF.


There is no place to go but down, no matter how many bags, hookers, gangsters, organized crime and crooked lawyers they throw at the next guy.

New Orleans recently opened. Their HC is the new AHC at Indiana State.

So with all these openings Isaac Brown could not find himself a new gig? Is he not trying, or just setting his sights too high? Or is he just taking advantage of the early retirement option that WSU and our former stellar AD provided him.

I personally would not be excited to coach in this environment unless it was the perfect fit.
